Speech by plastic and reconstructive surgeon Eleftherios Dimitradios at the 13th Panhellenic Plastic Surgery conference on new technologies and modern medical lasers, in skin regeneration and tattoo removal.
Patients increasingly prefer non-surgical procedures and have high expectations for results, new non-surgical treatments expand patient expectations with noticeable results without recovery time. As plastic surgeons for various applications we use lasers whose emission is in picoseconds, i.e. one trillionth of a second.
Picosecond lasers are globally better results with fewer treatments, less energy and without injuries to the adjacent tissues.
Its unique mechanism of action has shown amazing results in the treatment of wrinkles, gum acne and pigmented lesions as well as in tattoo removal.
Picosecond lasers that were basically created for faster tattoo removal with less tissue injury and faster removal of ink color are a reality that puts a very important weapon in our hands.
In addition to tattoo removal, picosecond lasers are now also used as fractional lasers for skin regeneration depending on the wavelength.
