Otoplasty
Ear surgery, also known as otoplasty, can improve the shape, position or proportion of the ear. It can correct a defect in the structure of the ear that is present from birth, or it can treat unstable ones caused after an injury.

Procedure
The otoplasty operation takes about an hour and is performed under local anesthesia. After the area is anesthetized, an incision is made in the skin behind the ear, so that the mark that is created is not visible.
